The Cross Lake Band Housing Superintendent is responsible for the projects from start to completion. Good co-ordination and management is the key to any project to be successful. All local manpower, equipment are utilized in the project. The building materials are tendered and purchased through professional building material suppliers. The Cross Lake Band Housing Department manages and maintains the construction and repairs of new and existing housing units. The allocation and management of the Housing Stock is the responsibility of Chief and Council with the following full and part-time staff in place:


HOUSING DIRECTOR

Manages construction, balance of the staff, facilities, and equipment



ASSISTANT HOUSING DIRECTOR

Assists the Housing Director for the overall operations



CONTRUCTION TECHNICIANS

Oversee all construction, estimating, assessments, and inspections



WAREHOUSE

Manages warehouses and inventories



SHOP CREW

Performs diverse degrees of work in the shop from repairs to manufacturing of building components



EQUIPMENT OPERATORS

Operates Heavy Equipment involved in construction and repairs of housing units



MATERIALS HANDLERS

Responsible for the delivery and handling of the building materials

Housing

SELECTION COMMITTEE

Recommends to the Cheif and Council who gets a housing unit
